Sealants, glues, hemostats, wound closure and anti-adhesion in Japan vs. Rest of Asia/Pacific

We examined data from our 2012 report on sealants, glues, hemostats, other wound closure and anti-adhesion in order to the relative adoption of these products from one country to the next. While the markets for a set of products is driven generally by the demand inherent in population of a given size, and this lends to population estimates determining market size, the actual market in a region or country is also dependent upon the extent to which a particular product has gained acceptance in clinical practice compared to another product.

Below is illustrated the market for sealants, glues, hemostats, other wound closure and anti-adhesion in Japan versus all other countries in the Asia/Pacific region.  One can see from this that the more advanced a technology can is (to some degree based on how long it has been on the market), the higher share of the Asia/Pacific market is represented by Japan.
