Obesity by Country

The global obesity market is steadily growing as a result of increased prevalence and recognition by governments and industry of the severity of the problem.  However, the severity of the problem (and the associated opportunity to provide solutions) varies considerably from country to country.  While western democracies and their well developed consumer markets and standards of living allow consumption to excess, less well developed markets demonstrate considerably less utilization yet, in some cases (such as China), show considerably greater potential as their economies rapidly grow and become more "western-like".

Below is illustrated, for select countries, the total clinical obesity treatment market per country in the aggregate and as a per capita value.
